On one side, sustainability has been a macro trend for the past few decades and, on the other side, the wellness movement has transformed our approach to physical, mental and spiritual well being. Now they merge to give birth of the 'clean' trend that has a great impact on how we develop new products and how we talk to the consumer.
The entire consumption process is now all tested for sustainability. The technology sector is being placed on ecologically sound procedures – the conservation of natural resources and the reduction of emissions are a top priority in many industries. A growing global population demands greater protection of natural resources (for food or personal care production) in order to guarantee sustainable and worldwide provisions. Alternative cultivation and production methods like biofermentation, cold process, high pressure or plant cell culture are now starting to play a key role here. Companies are having a more responsible and ethical behaviour by setting up a CSR policy.
