This simple sunscreen formulation shows that less can be more in the world of transparent solar protection. Using ZnO as the sole UV filter Solaveil™ MZP3 has been chosen as a simple uncoated powder, that is broadspectrum and transparent on skin despite its large particle size. The emulsion is stabilised by Cithrol™ PG3PR and Cithrol™ PG32IS a highly effective W/O emulsifier combination for the Solaveil MicNo range. Syncrowax™ SB1 is included to optimise the SPF by shortening the “recovery time” of the emulsion after spreading producing an even film with optimal distribution of actives on the skin, thus enabling a simple, one active, UV filter formulation to be achieved with ease.
