Eriodictyon californicum is a plant with noble medicinal and spiritual properties. Made aware of its therapeutic benefits by the aboriginal peoples of the Americas, Spanish missionaries named the plant ‘Yerba Santa’ – the Holy Herb.
Its evergreen leaves are covered with a resin which protects the plant from the sun, thanks to its rich flavonoid content, which is mainly comprised of homoeriodictyol and eriodictyol.
By mimicry, Phytessence Holyherb is able to protect the skin from external aggressions by reducing and repairing DNA fragmentation, for a protected skin from ageing.
