Cucumber is found wildly in the Himalayan regions and also cultivated throughout India. Traditionally, this plant is used for headaches; the seeds are cooling and diuretic, the fruit juice of this plant is used as a nutritive and as a demulcent in anti-acne lotions.
Historically, women have been covering their faces with fine slices of cucumber to moisturise and renew the sheen of their facial skin.
Thanks to its flavonoids and tannins, the plant reveals antioxidant properties ideal for detoxifying the skin and protecting it from external aggressions. It also has a healing effect that accelerates the reconstruction of tissues. Astringent for oily skins, but hydrating for sensitive skins, it gives back glow and beauty to skin.
