In the language of flowers, jasmine generally evokes love, beauty and sensuality. Symbol of purity the jasmine flower is always present in wedding ceremonies, notably in Pakistan where it is the national flower. Jasmine flowers are used in medicine to treat skin and eye diseases It is an astringent and antibacterial ingredient ideal to tone dry, greasy, irritated and sensitive skin, increases elasticity and it is often used to assist with stretch marks and scarring. Cooling and bitter herb, it is mostly used in Ayurvedic medicine for infections with high fever, conjunctivitis, sunstroke and dermatitis.
