Lemon is the inescapable ingredient of oriental cuisine. Its tangy fragrance makes its juice a refreshing drink. It is the anti-fatigue ally.
Originally found in Asia, it is cultivated today in all the Mediterranean regions. In traditional Arabian medicine, it was used against eczema as a juice mixed with olive and almond oils.
Lemon is an acidic fruit due to its high content in citric acid and vitamin C and has antioxidant properties. The oil obtained from the seeds is employed as an astringent, is a good moisturizer and has regenerating and refreshing characteristics which makes it very popular for masks.
