Originally from Mexico, the chia seeds were one of the basic staple diets of the Mayas and Aztecs, it was also used for medicinal purposes and as offerings to the Gods. Chia seeds are grown mainly in Argentina, Bolivia and Ecuador. It is one of nature’s richest vegetarian sources of omega 3 fatty acids. This oil significantly improves skin hydration, alleviates itchy skin and helps to maintain skin barrier function, so can be used in a wide variety of personal care products.
