According to Chinese legend, the use of tea as a drink would have appeared in the year 2737 BC when some leaves are said to have fallen from a tree into the hot water prepared for the Emperor Shen Nong.
Tea leaves are ideal in the formulation of sliming lotions. It has astringent, toning and antioxidant properties, which make it a perfect anti-ageing active for mature and stressed skin. It is also ideal in sun and after-sun care. It is rich in phenolic compounds, consequently stimulating microcirculation. This property is beneficial in eye contour products (for bags under the eyes), to reduce red blotches or in massage products for the feet and legs. Tea leaves are purifying and recommended in mouth hygiene.
