In an environment with a wide diversity of natural resources, traditional African medicine offers a rich range of treatments and ancient practices. Senegal Mahogany, also called Cailcedra and found in sub-Saharan regions, is a prestigious tree of exceptional virtues. It is known for its tonifying, antibacterial, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties and is used by native peoples to treat malaria, fevers and itching sensations, as well as to heal wounds. Crodarom Mahogany is obtained from its sapwood, which is rich in polyphenols, saponins and carbohydrates. The polyphenols protect hair from adverse external influences (including pollution and UV rays) and remedy problems of brittle and fragile hair. Thanks to their antioxidant properties, hair will retain a shiny and lasting colour. The saponins and carbohydrates restore shine and vitality to dull and tired hair.
