Also called “Queen of the night”, Cereus grandiflorus prevents its delicate flowers from dessication by blooming during the night. Adapted to drastic climatic conditions, it can rebound from dramatic dehydration. Its flowers are exhaling a delicious vanilla-like perfume with pinkish, red or white petals. In cosmetics, it is used for healing skin problems and for moisturising and softening skin.
