Ebony tree grows from African Tropics to Madagascar and even in the islands of the Indian Ocean. The plant was employed by the ancient kings of India for sceptres and also for drinking cups because of it was supposed to have antipoison virtues. Black and very hard wood, it was and still is used in making furniture and figurines for the quality of its wood. Rich in tannins, actives with strong astringent power, ebony bark is ideal to combat oily skin and greasy hair. It eliminates dead cells and purify for a more balanced skin and shiny black hair.
