Acai has been a traditional food of the native people of the Amazon for hundreds of years. In the Brazilian Amazon, the Indian tribes of the forest use all parts of the tree and more particularly the fruits. With its content in polyphenolic compounds, it has protective properties as well as soothing powers and helps to slow down ageing.
